SOLHEIM CUP - 2015 -- Team USA won!

The Solheim Cup was established in 1990 by the PING/Solheim family to promote women's golf.  It is very similar to the men's Ryder Cup competition.  Tweleve women born in the U.S. or naturalized citizens of the U.S. compete against twelve women who were born in Europe and play on the Ladies European Tour (the LET).  In September 2015, the Solheim Cup were played at the St. Leon-Rot Club near Heidelberg, Germany.  I wrote about the origins of the Solheim Cup, the history of the Solheim family and PING, and reported daily from the competition.

My articles about the 2015 Solheim Cup may all be found on www.womensgolf.com

"Almost Everything You Need to Know about the Solheim Cup" is a good place to start.  And my "Wrap-Up" article includes the Suzanne Pettersen & Alison Lee putting controversy.

I also covered and wrote about the 2013 Solheim Cup (played in Colorado).  Team USA lost ... again -- having lost to Team Europe in 2011.  These three articles were published for Cybergolf.com/womensgolf -- and are also listed in this "Solheim Cup" tab.

In this Solheim Section are the three articles I wrote about the 2013 Solheim Cup , lots of background and helpful information for what's coming in September 2015.
